Unique Tourism Business Opportunity

There has been overwhelming endorsement of Forestry Tasmania's decision to seek expressions of interest for its Tarkine Forest Adventures tourism property at Dismal Swamp in Tasmania's north west.
The Minister for Resources David Llewellyn said private sector involvement in Tarkine Forest Adventures would lead to increased tourism investment in the region.
With the State Government's investment in the $23 million Tarkine Road set to untap the region's immense tourist potential, Mr Llewellyn said now was the logical time to investigate options for maximising new private sector investment, adding that the road will bring a large number of additional visitors into the far North-West.
Tarkine Forest Adventures already attracts at least 17,000 visitors a year, and there's potential for further growth. It is a unique attraction, featuring as its centrepiece a high adrenalin 110 metre slide which takes people from an award winning reception/cafe area to a maze of interesting boardwalks populated with works of art. It is also perfectly positioned to take advantage of the Tarkine's growing reputation as a desirable destination for nature enthusiasts.
