District Forest Management Plans

From February 2000 all district forest management plans have been amended to reflect the outcomes of the Regional Forest Agreement.

All plans have a maximum tenure of ten years, unless significant changes in policy, management or knowledge require us to initiate an amendment process under Section 22J of the Forestry Act (1920). The district forest management plans require annual performance reviews to be undertaken. These reviews are available for public comment. When the plans were written they were based on seven districts as shown as per the displayed map.
