Hollybank Treetops Adventure Now Taking Bookings On-Line

DATE 09/01/2008
One of Tasmania’s most innovative tourism attractions, the Hollybank Treetops Adventure is now taking bookings via its web site at : www.treetopsadventure.com.au

Opening on January 14, demand for tickets for the Hollybank Treetops Adventure has been strong and steady.

“It is unlike any other Australian nature experience. Visitors will see the trees and forest ecology in a new light and learn about our beautiful, growing, and vibrant Tasmanian forests,” said Peter During, Managing Director of Australian Treetops Adventure Pty Ltd.

Patrons will glide through the treetops along guide wires and spans of between 15 metres and 372 metres at an average height of 30 metres. Connected by tree platforms called 'cloud stations', the journey at the top of the forest covers 730 metres takes approximately 3 hours and is led by knowledgeable and highly trained guides.

Following the adventure, visitors make their way back to the Visitor's Centre along a pathway of beautiful, mature trees planted early in the 20th century. Here, visitors can relax and share their experiences over a drink or snack, or move out into the grounds of the Hollybank Forest Reserve for a barbecue or picnic at one of the many facilities available on site.

The Hollybank Treetops Adventure (6395 1390, www.treetopsadventure.com.au) is located at the Hollybank Forest, located at 66 Hollybank Road, off Launceston to Lilydale Road.
