Softwood Legal Dispute Resolved

Forestry Tasmania has been advised that Auspine Ltd has withdrawn all legal proceedings related to the long term log supply contract between Timberlands Pacific Ltd (formerly Rayonier Australia Pty Ltd) and Forest Enterprises Australia.

Forestry Tasmania is pleased the matter has now been resolved between all parties.

FT was always confident of the legality of the log supply agreement struck between the softwood joint venturers’ manager, Rayonier and FEA.

That view was supported by a Parliamentary Joint Standing Committee, the Solicitor General and the Auditor General.
