Going Bush television series starts Sunday 28th March
Jovial hosts Nick Duigan and Andrew Hart return to the small screen in on Sunday 28th March for Forestry Tasmania’s Going Bush program.
Tune in each week to watch Nick and Andrew as they explore Tasmania’s spectacular state forests and provide an inside look at the Tasmanian forest industry.
Running over five weeks, Going Bush will feature riveting stories with some of the colourful characters that make up this important industry, visits to some of the state’s best attractions and some of the local heroes who have received a helping boost from Forestry Tasmania.
Some of the highlights from the series include a peek inside Forestry Tasmania at the wide variety of fantastic people who work to help manage our state forests – from scientists working in laboratories to hands on forestry officers working out in the field.
Learn about the transition away from clearfell harvesting in old growth forest and the reasons behind the change to variable retention, such as its ability to retain biodiversity and habitat at the coupe level.
Meet some of the local Tasmanian Community Assist recipients who have been working hard to make their communities better places to live. Catch up with Vlastik Skvaril, the inspirational grandfather from Tasmania’s North West Coast in his bid to raise money for the charity that supports young people living with cancer.
Throughout the series viewers will also have the chance to win big thanks to Forestry Tasmania’s fantastic tourism sites and Innkeepers.
At the conclusion of the series, one loyal viewer will win the Ultimate Tasmanian Adventure Holiday for their family.
