Funding Categories

Category One: Care for People (Maximum $1,000)

Applications with a strong humanitarian focus benefiting regional organisations and/or individuals, particularly young Tasmanians living in regional areas will be viewed most favourably.

Applications benefiting families associated with the forest industry will also be viewed favourably.

Category Two: Building Regional Pride (Maximum $15,000)

Forestry Tasmania and Southern Cross want to support dynamic and innovative organisations that encourage Tasmanians to value sporting, academic, business, artistic, scientific and/or environmental achievement.

Applicants wishing to access the Building Regional Pride category, may consider partnering Forestry Tasmania in the development of a specific event or for an ongoing cause.

Applications that embrace Forestry Tasmania values and involve activities in state forests will be highly regarded.

Category Three: Building State Pride

The Building State Pride (or Major Event) category is open only for organisations planning an event likely to capture statewide, national or international exposure.

Only one sponsorship in this category will be available each year, and only, if an outstanding applicant is able to demonstrate significant promotional opportunities for the state, or able to show significant benefits for a wide cross-section of the Tasmanian community.
