State soccer heats up with Forestry Tasmania Premier League finals

 
The best soccer teams in Tasmania will play off for the ultimate glory over the coming weeks in the Forestry Tasmania Finals Series.

Winning teams from both the northern and the southern premier leagues will take part in the finals series which will be run over three weeks from August 29.

The first round played on Saturday, August 29 saw the south of the state prove too strong for the north with the Tilford Zebras, South Hobart, Clarence and Glenorchy Knights making it through to the semi finals.

The semi finals will be played on Saturday, September 12 at KGV where the Tilford Zebras will take on Clarence United at 12:30pm before South Hobart and Glenorchy Knights kick off their final at 2:30pm.

The state’s two top teams take on each other in the grand final on Friday, September 18. This grand final will decide which Tasmanian team will be state champions of the Forestry Tasmania Finals Series for 2009.
