A well known, fast growing small tree with dense silvery grey foliage. It has brilliant yellow clusters of dense flowers that appear during winter to spring. It will succeed in most soils and climatic types but does prefer moderately well drained soils. This species is a rapid coloniser and may be considered an environmental weed in some situations.
