Blackwood - Wet sites

Blackwood is one of the best-known members of the wattle family. It is a striking and valuable timber, which is widely used in the building and craft industry. The wattle is a densely foliaged tall tree with yellow flowers occurring from July to October. Blackwood grows at its best in the blackwood swamp forests of Northwest Tasmania.
