Your first glimpse of this huge lake on your way out to Lake Pedder and Strathgordon is worth a stop.

The interpretation at the lookout gives you an insight into the construction of this project and the consequent salvaging of all the timbers that would otherwise have been drowned.

Some of the timbers are still slowly being used for the fine furniture markets today.
