Oldina Forest Reserve

Only a few kilometres south of Wynyard, the reserve is set within a tranquil valley and is a perfect place to take the family.

The site was originally a farm and was planted with tree farm species in the 1920's and today its towering poplars, firs and pines create a Northern Hemisphere atmosphere.

Enjoy a walk along the river, or have a barbecue in the park while children entertain themselves in the playground or have a game of ball.

The site is large and many wood barbecues and picnic tables are spread throughout the area, so there's always a secluded place to enjoy your visit.

With a variety of tree species mainly from the Northern Hemisphere it is the perfect spot for a stroll.

Being so close to Burnie and Wynyard it is a popular family destination on summer evenings or by bus groups during autumn.
